MADISON MARQUETTE COMPLETES MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT OF BEACHCLIFF MARKET SQUARE
Community Center outside Cleveland Transformed into Unique Open Air Retail Destination
ROCKY RIVER, OH (November 17, 2006) – Madison Marquette announced today the grand reopening of Beachcliff Market Square located just outside Cleveland in Rocky River, Ohio.
The redevelopment transformed an aging 50,000 square-foot community center into a vibrant 100,000 square-foot retail district. Construction began in April 2005 and was just recently completed. The previously enclosed center is now a modern open-air destination complete with many of the nation’s leading retailers, including White House/Black Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Aveda, Chico’s, First Watch and Jos. A. Bank.
“Our value creation strategy was clear,” said Jay Lask, Managing Director of Investments of Madison Marquette, “double the size of the property, create a more inviting atmosphere and bring in top tier tenants to serve the growing and increasingly affluent Rocky River community.”

It recently acquired a 250,000 square foot community center in Lake Forest Park, Washington. The company is currently evaluating redevelopment opportunities that will create a destination that better meets the needs of the surrounding population.
Beachcliff Market Square will hold its grand re-opening celebration this weekend, Saturday, November 18, 4 - 6pm and Sunday, November 19, 3 - 5pm. The celebration will include; Free horse drawn carriage rides, free seasonal refreshments, free seasonal entertainment, and discounts with participating merchants. Beachcliff Market Square also announces the opening of Liberty Books and News this weekend.
